Samedi 16 mars, le Curtiss P-40N 42-105867 mis en oeuvre par la Commemorative Air Force a été endommagé à l’atterrissage suite à un effacement du train sur le terrain de Conroe au Texas. Le pilote n’a pas été blessé.

L’aile gauche, l’hélice et le moteur ont été endommagés mais nul doute que l’appareil retrouvera la voie des airs très rapidement au sein du show « Tora, Tora, Tora » de la CAF.
